Meet Lydia

Hi, I'm Lydia, a fully qualified children’s life coach with a deep passion for helping young people build confidence, find calm, and reconnect with their true, authentic selves.

Hi, I'm Lydia, a fully qualified children’s life coach with a deep passion for helping young people build confidence, find calm, and reconnect with their true, authentic selves.
This work is deeply personal to me. As a child, I struggled with anxiety and low self-esteem, often feeling overwhelmed and unsure of my place in the world. My healing journey has been shaped by a combination of therapy, coaching techniques, and self-discovery. I also have the insight that comes from living as a neurodivergent adult with ADHD and Autism.
My lived experience allows me to fully empathise with children who feel different, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. Having spent the past 7 years working one-to-one with children, particularly those with special educational needs, I’ve seen just how powerful it can be when a child is truly seen and heard.
I created this coaching practice to be the safe, compassionate space I wish I’d had as a child, a place where children can explore their feelings, understand their unique minds, and begin to trust in themselves. I believe every child already holds everything they need inside them. My role is simply to help peel back the layers of doubt and fear so their true self can shine through.

More About Me:
I grew up in the Cotswold and after many years away, I’m so happy to have finally returned to the place that feels like home. Being surrounded by nature brings me so much peace and inspiration, and I believe our natural world holds some of the most profound lessons about growth, resilience, and presence. Whenever I can I bring nature into my sessions whether that be walk and talk sessions, working in an outside environment or simply bringing nature into the room or just looking out the window. Through nature we foster greater connection, confidence, courage and also continuing; the idea we are constantly changing just like the seasons and how children can be there for themselves through that transformation.
When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me reading, playing tennis, wild swimming, or out on long countryside walks with my dog Goose (more on her later!). I also have a huge love for comedy; I’m a regular at stand-up nights and make an annual pilgrimage to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Laughter has played a big part in my own healing, and I find it to be an invaluable tool in my coaching sessions too.
Humour has a beautiful way of softening difficult moments. It helps ease anxiety, shift perspective, and gently challenge unhelpful beliefs - all in a compassionate and playful way. It allows children to feel safe while also opening up to new ways of thinking, and it often brings a spark of joy even during the tougher conversations.
