Services in schools

In school 1-1 coaching working with children who are facing challenges or finding things difficult.
At LydiaLockhart Coaching, I offer tailored support for schools, children, and families. My work is designed to complement the role of teachers and parents by giving children a safe space to explore challenges, build confidence, and develop strategies for coping with difficulties.
As a peripatetic life coach, I am available to come into schools and work one-to-one with students who are finding aspects of school or life challenging. This might include:
- Managing stress and exam anxiety
- Perfectionism and pressure to succeed
- Bullying and friendship struggles
- Behavioural difficulties linked to overwhelm
- General worries or low confidence
My role is to create a calm, supportive space where students feel heard and understood. Together, we explore tools and strategies to help them manage challenges, build resilience, and reconnect with their confidence.
Working within schools offers many benefits: travel time is reduced, sessions take place in a familiar setting, and timetables are coordinated with teachers to minimise disruption. Teachers receive a daily debrief, with full notes shared with both parents and schools.
I offer schools a flexible service, coming in one or two days a week, or as needed. I work directly with those students who would benefit from extra support.
I understand that every school community is unique. Schools are welcome to contact me directly to discuss the needs of their pupils and families.
To ensure the right fit, I also provide:
A free 20-minute discovery call for parents
A complimentary half-hour session with the student, so they can decide if they feel comfortable working with me
This way, both schools and families can feel confident that the support is tailored and meaningful.
If your school would like to explore offering this service to your students and their families, please get in touch — I’d love to discuss how I can help.
